Registered Nurse – Operating Room Circulator

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as an Operating Room Circulator in a fast‑paced ambulatory surgical center. The role provides comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care throughout pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases.
• Perform patient assessments, document histories, and communicate critical information to the surgical team.
• Execute proper surgical case counting, aseptic technique, and turnover procedures.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site marking, and blood product handling per policy.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, legible records and adhere to legal and ethical nursing standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Knowledge of JCAHO regulations, Patient Bill of Rights, and Nurse Practice Act.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and climbing stairs.
• Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
