Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager

About the role

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer‑focused leader to head the Reliability Maintenance Engineering function for a site in Mexico. The manager will be the engineering point of contact for the building, ensuring safety, statutory compliance, and high equipment availability while supporting network‑wide improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance engineering team, own annual reporting and mentor direct reports.
• Partner with Safety, Environmental, Sustainability and Site Leadership to implement, record and audit compliance programs.
• Drive recruitment, including apprentices and graduates, to fill allocated headcount with qualified staff.
• Implement Global Engineering standards, lead continuous‑improvement projects, and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain equipment failure contingency plans, coordinate rehearsals and ensure rapid resolution of breakdowns.
• Collaborate with Site Management, Finance and Global Engineering to plan future growth, upgrades and new equipment roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in maintenance or reliability engineering within a large industrial environment.
• Strong focus on safety, statutory compliance and risk management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with site leadership, finance and global engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
