Remote Bilingual Paralegal (English/Spanish) – Litigation

About the role

We are seeking a remote, bilingual (English/Spanish) paralegal to support attorneys at a busy U.S. law firm. The role focuses on litigation matters in personal injury, employment, criminal, and family law, primarily under California law. You will work from home, handling case management, client communication, document preparation, and translation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in managing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining client notes.
• Draft, edit, and file legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and letters in compliance with California procedural rules.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, answering questions, and conducting interviews.
• Conduct legal research on California statutes and case law and summarize findings for case strategy.
• Organize digital and physical case materials, prepare exhibits, and support court or deposition preparation.
• Provide translation and interpretation of legal documents and client communications between English and Spanish.
• Support administrative tasks including calendar management, billing, time tracking, and scheduling.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field, or a paralegal certificate from an approved institution.
• Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in a U.S. law firm, preferably with California cases.
• Fluent English (B2 or higher) and Spanish with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work U.S. business hours from a quiet, professional home office with reliable internet and power.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management software such as Clio and MyCase.
