RTR Accountant II

About the role

The RTR Accountant II will own Record‑to‑Report activities, ensuring accurate and timely transactional accounting. Working on‑site in downtown Mexico City, you will support month‑end close, maintain internal controls and collaborate with Controlling, Reporting, Treasury, Sales and Customer Service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Post manual and recurring journal entries accurately and on schedule.
• Manage accounts receivable, resolve unmatched items and propose bad‑debt provisions.
• Perform intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Support month‑end close tasks such as depreciation runs, asset revaluations and salary uploads.
• Account for rebates, commissions and foreign‑exchange hedging transactions.
• Analyse balance‑sheet and P&L positions, identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Clear suspense accounts and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Prepare reports and complete balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma and other process‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate governance and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting (AP, AR, cash or general ledger).
• Fluent English for regular communication with global teams.
• Hands‑on mindset with the ability to meet tight month‑end deadlines.
• Team‑oriented attitude and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Availability to work on‑site Monday‑Friday.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodology.
