Senior Corporate Counsel – Mexico & Latin America

About the role

The Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor for The Pokémon Company International’s operations in Mexico and Latin America. Reporting to the global legal team, you will provide independent, front‑line counsel on commercial, regulatory and litigation matters while ensuring alignment with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to business units across the region, supporting strategic initiatives and routine operations.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad portfolio of agreements, including commercial contracts, leases, marketing, licensing and vendor agreements.
• Act as the main legal point of contact for the Mexico subsidiary, triaging issues and escalating high‑risk matters to headquarters.
• Coordinate with external counsel and TPCi headquarters to maintain consistent legal standards and playbooks.
• Manage litigation, disputes and regulatory matters, overseeing outside counsel and ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Monitor legal developments in the region, identify gaps and recommend practical solutions to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to deliver pragmatic, business‑focused legal support.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience handling corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a multinational environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, with the capacity to interact with senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing external counsel and coordinating cross‑border legal projects.
