Senior Cost Manager – Hotel Construction Development

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management activities for hotel construction and fit‑out projects across the Caribbean. You will be responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates, managing procurement, and ensuring financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports for hotel development projects.
• Review construction plans, perform quantity take‑offs, and manage contract preparation and administration.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, comprehensive cost plans, and present final cost plans to stakeholders.
• Apply value management techniques and lead value engineering and life‑cycle costing initiatives.
• Manage the procurement process, including strategy development, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract preparation.
• Oversee post‑contract cost variances, change control, and monthly cost reporting to clients.
• Negotiate final accounts with contractors and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Lead and develop cost management teams, capture lessons learned, and contribute to knowledge‑management databases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost management for hotel or hospitality construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a focus on delivering value.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
