Senior Financial Controller – Management Control (Mexico)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Financial Controller / Management Control specialist to act as the financial bridge between our Mexican operations and the Group’s Corporate Internal Audit team in Spain. The role focuses on proactive financial oversight, project profitability, revenue recognition, and safeguarding operational margins.

Key responsibilities

• Validate that 100% of technical team hours are correctly billed and enforce timely invoicing.
• Supervise accounts receivable aging, coordinate collections with clients and Business Managers, and escalate overdue invoices.
• Oversee intercompany invoicing, provision calculations, and monthly trial‑balance reconciliation.
• Reconcile foreign‑currency bank accounts, vendor balances, cost‑center allocations, and fixed‑asset integration.
• Prepare the finance function for period‑end audits and ensure readiness for internal audit reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; MBA or Master’s in Financial Management is a plus.
• 5‑6+ years of experience in financial controlling, corporate audit, or senior finance management, preferably in services, tech or IT consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and tax regulations (SAT, CFDI validation).
• High level of assertiveness, stakeholder management, and ability to challenge commercial assumptions.

Required skills

• Expertise in NIF and SAT/CFDI compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced analytical tools: Tableau, Zoho Books.
• Advanced financial modeling in Excel.
