Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Amex GBT is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to provide expert technical support for Okta and Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions. You will work on both backend Java services and frontend JavaScript applications while ensuring high‑quality customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end technical support for Okta, including troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Support IAM systems such as LDAP, SSO, SAML, and WS‑Fed protocols.
• Develop and maintain backend services in Java and frontend applications using JavaScript frameworks.
• Write scripts and code to reproduce user scenarios with Okta APIs and SDKs.
• Document bugs and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve API and product issues.
• Provide written, chat, call, and in‑person support while meeting response‑time targets.
• Contribute feedback to training and documentation, and drive process improvements.
• Participate in 24/7 operations across a three‑shift schedule.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Okta support.
• 3+ years in customer‑facing technical support roles.
• Strong background in Identity Access Management and related protocols.
• Proficiency in Java (backend) and JavaScript (frontend).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to support 24/7 operations.
