Senior Industrial Mechanic – Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Mechanic / Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join Danieli’s Mexican operations. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing heavy‑industry equipment in the metal‑mechanical sector, ensuring reliable production and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance on complex industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial lubrication systems.
• Disassemble, overhaul and reassemble equipment, ensuring proper alignment and tolerance adjustments.
• Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings and schematics.
• Conduct non‑destructive testing (NDT) and welding repairs (MIG, TIG, stick).
• Set up CNC machines and execute basic to intermediate programming (ISO or conversational).
• Optimize processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the metal‑mechanical, steel, paper, mining or similar heavy‑industry sector.
• Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work independently in demanding production environments.
• Intermediate English proficiency for technical reading and operational communication.
