Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

BRP is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Mexico legal department. The role provides high‑quality legal support across labor, corporate and commercial matters for BRP’s entities worldwide, with a focus on operations in Mexico and LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, draft, review and analyse agreements, contracts and other legal documents.
• Provide accurate, timely counsel to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with management to devise efficient defence strategies.
• Respond to external and internal comments, ensuring contracts reflect required legal terms.
• Work with legal, HR and procurement teams to align project outcomes with company policies.
• Monitor industry trends and the regulatory landscape, updating standard agreements and templates.
• Research and evaluate risk factors and support other commercial practice areas as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s preferred in corporate law.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Advanced knowledge of Mexican civil, mercantile and labor legislation.
• Extensive experience drafting and reviewing contracts and providing labor counsel.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
