Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Stamping Operations

About the role

Donaldson is seeking a hands‑on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead stamping operations, drive process optimization, and champion continuous improvement in a high‑performance manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Improve mechanical and hydraulic press line performance using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Design and release process flow diagrams, tooling requirements, and operating parameters for new product industrialization.
• Apply SMED methodology to reduce tooling setup and changeover times, boosting machine availability.
• Analyze and resolve quality defects in stamped components, ensuring compliance with tolerances and specifications.
• Develop and implement machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout systems, and other safety devices.
• Create and maintain SOPs, certification tests, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Conduct preventive and corrective PFMEA activities.
• Produce visual aids and standardized instructions for die inspection and operation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and EHS teams to ensure process stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years experience operating or managing stamping and press manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• English communication skills (desirable).
• Experience with new product launches and manufacturing industrialization projects (preferred).
• Analytical and troubleshooting expertise in metal‑stamping environments.
