Senior Mechanical Engineer – Product Design & Quality

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering support for field quality issues, drive product improvements, and ensure compliance with UL, ETL, and AHRI certifications. You will work closely with manufacturing plants, product management, and cross‑functional teams to develop safe, cost‑competitive, world‑class products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for field quality issues and propose cost‑effective solutions.
• Support factory product engineering and design in commercial manufacturing plants.
• Maintain and update the master Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Lead mid to high‑complexity programs with minimal supervision.
• Develop and execute test and qualification plans for product improvements.
• Secure and manage agency reports for commercial products under UL and ETL.
• Participate in product design reviews with project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain standard, safe, and cost‑competitive products.
• Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and product support.
• Define technical requirements and drive improvements based on end‑user experience.
• Develop and test structures, materials, and fabrication processes for engineering designs.
• Collaborate with product management to introduce new product options.
• Create computer models to simulate system and component performance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a product/design engineer.
• 5 years of experience implementing product changes.
• Strong knowledge of design processes and tools.
• Expertise in heat transfer, fluid flow, thermodynamics, and HVAC equipment.
• Technical knowledge of electricity, electronics, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting.
• Project management and parametric design experience.
• Organizational skills, multicultural leadership, and a results‑focused mindset.
• Self‑starter with fluent English communication (minimum 90%).
