Shipping & Traffic Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Shipping & Traffic Specialist to join our Logistics Department. You will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining seamless communication across all transportation stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily status of units in transit on local and long‑haul routes.
• Coordinate shipment scheduling with warehouses, transportation providers, and customers.
• Record and update information in ERP, TMS, and Excel.
• Track loading, transit, and delivery times.
• Manage route incidents (delays, deviations, accidents) and escalate when necessary.
• Validate transportation documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, and delivery orders.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers, logistics providers, and internal teams.
• Support transportation assignment and route optimisation.
• Prepare operational reports (KPIs like on‑time deliveries and incidents).
• Control proof of delivery (POD) processes.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience in traffic, logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• Experience with route tracking and driver coordination (preferred).
• Knowledge of customs management, import/export logistics, and shipment documentation.
• Experience following up with forwarders and managing customs brokers.
• Fluency in English.
