Site Operations Leader

About the role

The Hershey Monterrey plant is seeking a Site Operations Leader to provide production leadership across one to three shifts in a seven‑day environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the role is part of the Plant Leadership Team and is accountable for safety, quality, cost, service, people leadership, and project implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an inspiring vision for manufacturing and warehousing teams.
• Lead the Operational Autonomy journey and ensure a strong safety and food‑safety culture compliant with Mexican and US regulations.
• Eliminate root causes of manufacturing failures through independent project leadership.
• Coach, direct, and develop Business Unit Managers and Manufacturing Supervisors.
• Participate in or lead cross‑functional teams to meet business objectives.
• Oversee annual budget preparation for production standards, throughput, and common‑cost budgets, maintaining strong cost control.
• Assess departmental performance, identify problems, develop solutions, and present improvement plans.
• Ensure effective employee relations, measured through quarterly pulse surveys.

Required profile

• Proven success in a similar operations leadership role, typically 3‑5 years of experience.
• Experience managing large workforces (approximately 2,000 employees) and multi‑unit budgets around $25 million USD.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to drive safety, quality, and cost‑performance improvements.
