SMT Equipment Engineer (Machinery & Equipment Engineer II)

About the role

Jabil is looking for an SMT Equipment Engineer (Machinery & Equipment Engineer II) in Guadalajara. The role covers the development, assembly and commissioning of automation equipment and electronic control wiring, and the transfer of automation equipment to production units for mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and assemble automation equipment according to design requirements and ensure machinery quality.
• Assist in the design phase to identify potential problems and help ensure timely delivery of vendor parts.
• Take part in functional testing of completed automation equipment.
• Help formulate automation system documents and share know-how with mass production departments.
• Analyze, monitor and improve the yield rate of new automation equipment from daily production.
• Provide 2D/3D drawings of new devices and contribute to design optimisation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT, PTH and backend manufacturing equipment.

Required profile

• Knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes and equipment.
• Experience operating and maintaining wave soldering machines.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Experience with Fuji machinery is desirable.
