Software Developer – Services

About the role

Slice is looking for a Software Developer to join its Services team and help local pizzerias compete with large chains by building powerful backend solutions. You will work on a mission‑driven product that directly impacts restaurant partners and millions of pizza lovers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and launch new backend features that improve restaurant operations and customer experiences.
• Identify asymmetric, high‑impact opportunities where small technical changes deliver large value.
• Own projects from concept through production, collaborating with product, design, and other engineering teams.
• Choose the best technology for the task, using Python (Flask) as the primary stack while also working with Go, Ruby, or cloud services as needed.
• Work closely with a small, agile team of 5‑8 backend engineers distributed across the US, UK, and Europe.

• Comfortable collaborating in a fast‑paced, distributed team environment.
