Software Development Engineer – Prelaunch Portfolio Orchestration

About the role

Join the PPO (Prelaunch Portfolio Orchestration) team within Amazon Devices to build full‑stack features that drive pricing, product lifecycle, and portfolio decisions across Echo, Kindle, Fire TV, Ring, Blink and more. You will work in an AI‑first culture, shipping fast and seeing the direct impact of your code on Amazon‑scale business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own features end‑to‑end, from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, deployment and operational support.
• Design, build and operate full‑stack components for core services and user‑facing applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software.
• Participate in system design, write production‑grade code, conduct code reviews and improve development practices.
• Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB and S3 to handle large‑scale data processing and real‑time workflows.
• Enhance operational excellence by improving deployment processes, monitoring and reliability.

Required profile

• Curious, ownership‑driven engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment with multiple workstreams.
• Enjoys working across the stack—from React/TypeScript front‑ends to Java or Python back‑ends.
• Comfortable diving into unfamiliar codebases, collaborating across teams and making pragmatic trade‑offs.
• Views AI as a productivity multiplier and leverages AI tools daily.
