Software Engineer – Backend Web Services (Tijuana)

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer to join our on-site team in Tijuana. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining back-end web services and APIs that power the apimarket.mx platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable back-end services and RESTful APIs.
• Implement new product features and enhance existing functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, performance optimisation, security hardening and reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in back-end web development, including building and consuming APIs and working with databases.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and apply unit and integration testing practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a preference for on-site teamwork.

Required skills

• Modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Node.js).
• API development and consumption.
• Database interaction (SQL or NoSQL).
• Unit and integration testing.
• Knowledge of cloud services, containerization and micro‑services architecture (a plus).
