Software Engineer – Dagger & Core (Android)

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Core team, focusing on the Dagger dependency‑injection framework and Android application development. You will help build the foundational tools and APIs that enable Google’s Android developers to create high‑quality, scalable apps.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support APIs, tools, and application frameworks for Android developers.
• Build and maintain features within the Dagger dependency‑injection ecosystem and first‑party Android app framework.
• Enhance frameworks to leverage modern Android technologies such as Kotlin, Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and security of the platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in Java or Kotlin, with solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Minimum 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year in software design and architecture.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, plus 2 years of Android application development experience.
