About the role

The Sr. Specialist, Human Resources Business Partner applies HR principles, practices, and tools to support business strategy and foster a positive work environment. This senior HR professional acts as a consultant and coach to business leaders, addressing people and cultural issues while ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR consulting and coaching to solve significant people and cultural challenges.
• Manage day‑to‑day employee relations, career pathing, engagement, development, and cultural change for assigned departments.
• Partner with talent management, staffing, and recruiting teams on initiatives for hourly direct and indirect employees.
• Develop and implement retention, absenteeism, workforce management, and resource‑planning strategies using data analysis and reporting.
• Advise managers on HR decisions in line with legal guidelines and internal policies.
• Oversee disciplinary and dispute‑resolution processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor law.
• Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries and proactively address labor‑relations concerns.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
• Manage union labor‑relations and support wellness and recognition programs.
• Present HR metrics (absenteeism, turnover, discipline, wellness) in daily meetings and follow up on actions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level HR professional with extensive experience in employee relations and labor law.
• Proven ability to coach leaders, influence cultural change, and drive HR initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and design actionable presentations.
• Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
