Structural Engineer I

About the role

ANS is seeking a Structural Engineer I to support the design and development of foundation and structural systems for infrastructure and renewable energy projects. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career engineers looking to gain hands‑on experience under senior guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in structural load calculations (dead, live, wind, seismic) for foundations, equipment supports, and steel or concrete structures.
• Develop and update structural analysis models using software such as RISA, RAM, or STAAD.
• Prepare structural drawings, elevations, and details in AutoCAD and/or Revit at various project milestones.
• Review project documents and apply relevant design codes and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil and geotechnical engineers, to ensure coordinated design efforts.
• Identify and help resolve technical issues while adhering to project schedules and quality standards.

Required profile

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Revit (optional).
• Structural analysis tools such as STAADPro, Robot Structural Analysis, RISA, RAM, or L‑Pile.
