Tax Analyst

About the role

The Tax Analyst will support HSBC’s tax compliance function by preparing documentation, ensuring timely filings, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. The role focuses on preventing tax risks, meeting SAT requirements, and assisting external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and compile documentation for monthly tax payments, annual returns, DIOT, and other informative filings.
• Support the preparation of monthly income tax provisions (current and deferred) and calculate the effective tax rate.
• Provide data and documentation to external auditors for financial statement issuance.
• Gather, review, and organize supporting documents to ensure compliance with SAT regulations.
• Identify and raise inconsistencies or potential tax risks in the documentation.
• Assist in optimizing processes and working‑paper templates for efficient tax reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 1‑3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or compliance, preferably in financial institutions or Big Four firms.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic English proficiency for reading and writing.

• Excel (pivot tables, formulas) – basic to intermediate.
• Data analysis tools.
• Tax reporting and audit documentation requirements.
