Tax Manager – Latin America

About the role

MiQ is seeking a proactive LATAM Tax Manager to lead the regional tax compliance agenda across Latin America. You will oversee corporate income tax, VAT/indirect tax, transfer pricing, and cross‑border withholding tax matters, ensuring timely and accurate filings while supporting business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and project‑manage the LATAM tax compliance calendar for corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing and withholding tax.
• Coordinate third‑party advisors and local finance teams to deliver returns, declarations, payments and supporting documentation on schedule.
• Review and challenge advisor‑prepared tax returns, calculations and workpapers for technical accuracy and alignment with MiQ policies.
• Assess withholding tax impacts of cross‑border payments, ensuring treaty benefits and proper documentation.
• Monitor transfer pricing compliance deadlines, coordinate local files and supporting disclosures across the region.
• Support tax reporting, audit responses, authority queries, risk tracking and remediation actions.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury and business units on new transactions, restructurings and contracts with tax implications.
• Strengthen regional governance through trackers, checklists, dashboards and standardized processes.

Required profile

• 6+ years of tax experience in‑house or at a Big Four/professional practice, with strong exposure to LATAM corporate and withholding tax.
• Practical understanding of VAT/indirect tax and transfer‑pricing coordination across multiple LATAM jurisdictions.
• Professional qualification as an accountant, tax lawyer or equivalent finance professional preferred.
• Excellent project‑management and stakeholder‑communication abilities.
• Fluent Spanish.
