Technical Project Manager – Salesforce

About the role

American Express Global Business Travel is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead Salesforce initiatives within its Project Management Office. Based in the Montes Urales office, you will drive end‑to‑end project success, align technology efforts with business goals, and foster cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Define project governance, success metrics, risk frameworks, and deliver measurable business value.
• Create detailed project plans covering scope, resources, and schedules.
• Monitor progress, maintain stakeholder visibility, and report on health metrics.
• Build and mentor high‑performing project teams, promoting accountability.
• Manage inter‑project dependencies within a program portfolio.
• Resolve conflicts, lead change‑management efforts, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Communicate impacts, set expectations, and maintain change‑control documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 2 years on technical or Salesforce projects.
• Proven ability to work onsite full‑time in Mexico City.
• Experience in a PMO or Center of Excellence environment.
• Background in travel, technology, or SaaS industries is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration or configuration.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira and Asana.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
