Technical Recruiter

About the role

ALTEN Mexico is looking for a Technical Recruiter in Querétaro to attract, evaluate and hire top technical talent. The role suits someone who understands technology roles, approaches sourcing proactively and can build relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and recruitment: find and engage passive and active candidates through LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, job boards and referrals, and build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Conduct technical screenings and initial interviews, then collaborate with hiring managers on job requirements and candidate profiles.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience, communicate promptly and coordinate interviews.
• Partner with hiring managers and technical teams, advocate for candidates and share market insights on trends, salary benchmarks and competitive practices.
• Track recruitment metrics (time-to-hire, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rates) and continuously improve processes and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in technical recruitment, preferably in a tech industry, startup or enterprise setting.
• Proven track record sourcing and hiring for roles such as Software Engineer, Data Scientist, DevOps, QA, Mechanical and Embedded Systems.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to assess technical skills and cultural fit.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of technical roles, skills and technologies (programming languages, frameworks, cloud platforms).
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment tools such as Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Nice to have: boolean and X-ray search, employer branding, DEI hiring practices.
