Technician III

About the role

Corning is seeking a Technician III to support its Optical Communications segment. The role involves performing a variety of technical duties, leading projects that improve process and technical efficiency, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend changes to methods and procedures to enhance productivity.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and training to colleagues.
• Coordinate work of others and ensure appropriate confidentiality status of materials.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and resolve problems.
• Design and run basic experiments.
• Maintain internal customer relations and interact with external contacts as needed.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 1‑3 years of relevant work experience with a proven performance record.
• Moderate knowledge of job content and ability to lead improvement projects.
