About the role

We are looking for a Battery Exchange Technician to safely remove and install forklift batteries in our warehouse battery room. You will monitor charge levels, rotate batteries and perform routine inspections to keep material handling equipment operating at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Safely remove and install forklift batteries using appropriate equipment.
• Monitor battery charge levels and rotate batteries to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of batteries and chargers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the battery room to meet safety standards.
• Record battery usage, charge cycles and maintenance activities.
• Report any battery damage, leaks or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to schedule battery changes efficiently.
• Handle and dispose of battery acid or hazardous materials safely.
• Support energy‑saving initiatives and battery lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment and follow strict safety procedures.
• Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy batteries.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to record data accurately.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members.

Required skills

• Battery handling and replacement.
• Battery charger operation and basic electrical inspection.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
