Test Engineer

About the role

The Test Engineer will perform professional‑level engineering duties in a test laboratory environment. The role focuses on creating, executing, and documenting test cases to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate test lab equipment.
• Design test procedures that align with customer specifications.
• Document defects, failures, and test results for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct failure analysis on tests that do not meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve lab equipment issues promptly.
• Prepare detailed test reports for customers and internal teams.
• Provide feedback on test outcomes to engineering groups and attend customer meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with Lab Technicians to minimize overdue tasks.
• Maintain accurate and consistent data through thorough documentation.
• Ensure compliance with 6S, housekeeping, health, and safety standards.
• Coordinate testing activities with subcontractor facilities when required.

Required profile

• Four‑year college or university degree (or equivalent).
• Two to four years of relevant engineering or test experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand fabrication processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of statistics.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Fabrication and blueprint‑reading skills.
• Equipment knowledge for test lab environments.
