Test Engineer – Vehicle Controls

About the role

We are looking for a Test Engineer to lead validation testing of low‑voltage vehicle‑control products in our Reynosa facility. You will work closely with product, design and quality teams to ensure new and modified components meet engineering, customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute product testing, data acquisition and performance reporting for switches, keypads, rotary encoders and related commercial‑vehicle electrical products.
• Develop, procure and validate functional test solutions for new‑product introduction (NPI) and production environments.
• Create and run design verification test plans (DVP&R, PVP&R), including voltage, current, signal, rise/fall time measurements and environmental tests such as EMC/EMI, vibration and shipping.
• Write detailed test instructions, set up test fixtures and wire harnesses, and sign‑off test setups after calibration verification.
• Analyze test data, produce test reports and direct lab technicians in test execution and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve hardware/software issues, implement continuous‑improvement initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in product launches following the Eaton PROLaunch stage‑gate process and support production quality investigations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in validation testing of low‑voltage vehicle‑control or similar electrical products.
• Ability to lead test activities, coordinate with global cross‑functional teams and communicate technical findings.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset using methods such as 8D, Fishbone and 5 Why.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards and continuous‑improvement programs.
