Transcon Agent – Ground Transportation

About the role

Expeditors is looking for a Transcon Agent to coordinate ground transportation shipments in Ciudad Juarez. The role ensures freight moves smoothly from pickup through customs clearance to final delivery while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain timely and accurate freight flow, including pickup, customs clearance, and delivery.
• Enter shipment data accurately into the Transcon operational system.
• Track and trace shipments, generate reports, and use the daily Export Transcon workflow.
• Prepare and verify client and vendor billing.
• Interact with customers to arrange shipments and meet service standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Identify best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure standard operating procedures are up‑to‑date and meet KPI targets.
• Respond promptly to internal and external communications and escalate issues when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or a related field (preferred).
• Global logistics industry knowledge is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and teamwork orientation.
• Fluent in English (preferred).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
