Transfers Engineer

About the role

The Transfers Engineer will lead the movement of tooling, equipment and processes from development to manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with quality standards. You will work closely with industrial engineers, quality teams and production trainers to bring new products to market efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tooling and equipment transfers, including IQ/OQ execution, facility modifications and process mapping.
• Support implementation of manufacturing procedures and train production trainers after transfer completion.
• Create product structures, coordinate process flow charts and cell layouts with industrial engineering.
• Generate equipment and tooling lists, place purchase requisitions, and maintain min‑max inventory in the tool crib.
• Develop and document IQ/OQ protocols, laboratory notebook studies and calibration activities.
• Assist with special production orders for new product launches and develop manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain DMR documentation such as BOMs, routings, manufacturing procedures, and drawings.
• Participate in DMR and change request reviews, collaborating with Quality Engineering.
• Supervise technicians, provide guidance, and design fixtures for new manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to budgeting activities and control expenses within supervised areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical or electronic engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Strong problem‑solving and statistical analysis abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing certification is a plus.

• SolidWorks or other CAD tools (preferred).
• IQ/OQ protocol development and execution.
• Process mapping and equipment installation.
• Calibration and spare‑part inventory management.
• DMR documentation creation (BOMs, routings, procedures).
• Statistical and problem‑solving methodologies.
• Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles.
