Warranty Engineer

About the role

Mubea, a global automotive supplier specializing in lightweight suspension components, is looking for a Warranty Engineer to lead the analysis and management of product warranty claims. You will work closely with engineering, production, finance and external suppliers to improve product quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, record and follow up on warranty claims from customers.
• Perform physical, dimensional and functional failure analysis on returned parts.
• Identify root causes, prepare technical failure analysis reports and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering and Production.
• Review warranty databases (GSAR, Partlink, SWARP+, EWT) and generate statistical reports on failure rates, costs and trends.
• Collaborate with Finance to validate and track warranty debits.
• Provide technical support to customers and evaluate field information for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for defective component evaluation and corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, including CQI‑14 assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemistry, Industrial, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in warranty analysis, quality or product engineering within the automotive or auto‑parts industry.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications (GD&T).

Required skills

• Failure analysis methodologies (8D, A3, Six Sigma).
• IATF 16949 knowledge.
• NTF failure tree analysis.
• Core quality tools (CQI‑9, CQI‑12, CQI‑11, CQI‑15, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA).
• Materials and automotive manufacturing process expertise.
• Proficiency with SAP.
