Windows Server Administrator

About the role

GBM is seeking a Windows Server Administrator to support its hybrid IT environment, ensuring reliable operation of both on‑premise and cloud services for its wealth‑management platform. The role combines infrastructure design, maintenance, and continuous improvement in a fast‑moving financial services context.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor hybrid IT infrastructure, including on‑premise servers and cloud resources.
• Ensure compliance with application infrastructure SLAs and OLAs.
• Coordinate with external service providers for support and upgrades.
• Plan and execute IT infrastructure migrations and proof‑of‑concept projects.
• Design, implement and collect metrics for monitoring platforms.
• Develop and deploy disaster‑recovery solutions for critical systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Windows Server Administrator.
• Intermediate English proficiency for handling supplier calls in the US and Canada.
• Hands‑on experience with physical HPE servers (ProLiant, Synergy, OneView).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2012‑2022 lifecycle and related services.

• Windows Server installation, configuration, hardening and troubleshooting.
• WSUS deployment and policy management.
• Hyper‑V virtualization, VM templates, migrations and clustering.
• SQL Failover and Always‑On clustering.
• DNS configuration and zone management.
• Active Directory (ADDS, ADFS) design, Group Policy and replication.
• IIS setup, website and WCF pool management.
• PowerShell scripting for automation.
• HPE ProLiant, Synergy and OneView administration.
