Account Manager

About the role

Cengage is looking for an Account Manager to lead and grow strategic accounts across Mexico. You will act as the primary liaison for key clients, ensuring they receive high‑quality products and services while driving satisfaction and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for strategic accounts, maintaining clear and proactive communication.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships by understanding needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Work autonomously to resolve complex issues and engage internal stakeholders as required.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (operations, sales, marketing) to guarantee effective product and service delivery.
• Identify, propose, and close upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Maintain a 360° view of each client, monitoring profitability, marketing, financial management, and retention.
• Keep client data accurate and up‑to‑date in CRM systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of proven sales or account‑management experience.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data for decision‑making.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Fluent English is desirable.

• Experience with CRM systems and accurate data maintenance.
