Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities. This role works closely with Finance, Controlling, Payroll and Corporate Accounting teams to deliver reliable financial reporting and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and record accounting journal entries, including accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain fixed‑asset accounting, handling capitalizations and disposals.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Prepare information for statutory, tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Finance, Controlling, Payroll and Corporate Accounting.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience with SAP Finance modules.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting and account reconciliations.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Familiarity with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
