Actuarial Consultant – Property & Casualty (Mexico City)

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join its Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting practice in Mexico City. The role involves working with self‑insured corporations, captive insurers, regulators and P&C insurers to solve complex actuarial problems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to loss reserving projects, as well as pricing, predictive modeling, economic capital modeling and loyalty rewards programs.
• Take ownership of project tasks, ensure seamless client communication and deliver high‑quality analyses.
• Review and validate analysts’ work, guaranteeing technical accuracy across models, templates and exhibits.
• Compile, verify and reasonability‑check client data and apply advanced actuarial theories to build statistical models.
• Prepare and oversee production exhibits and written reports for client presentations.
• Assist in proposal development, presentations for prospects and attend client meetings and business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum two actuarial exams passed; progress toward ACAS/FCAS is a plus.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience in the property and casualty sector, preferably with self‑insured corporations, captives, reinsurers or regulators.
• Strong organizational abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagements and business development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with statistical/programming tools such as R, SAS, SQL or VBA.
