Application Developer – API & Cloud Architecture

About the role

We are looking for an Application Developer to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our core API stack. You will work on building secure, scalable, and well‑documented APIs while integrating event‑driven and micro‑service architectures across internal and external platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core APIs, ensuring compliance with security standards such as OAuth 2.0, mTLS, and API keys.
• Define and enforce API governance policies, including rate limiting, traffic management, caching, versioning, and deprecation strategies.
• Produce OpenAPI/Swagger documentation for all services.
• Architect and develop event‑driven, REST and gRPC integrations using modern programming languages.
• Set up and operate API gateways and manage cloud networking components (VPC, load balancers, NAT, firewalls, TLS/mTLS).
• Write Terraform scripts to provision and maintain cloud infrastructure.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with API gateways and HTTP/S protocols.
• Strong understanding of DNS, VPC peering, load balancing, NAT, firewalls, and TLS/mTLS.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Go, Python, Node.js, or Java) for building middleware, scripts, or micro‑services.
• Experience with GCP networking (VPC‑native routing, internal load balancers, Cloud Armor WAF, Private Service Connect, TLS/SSL management).
• Familiarity with Apigee, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, or containerized cloud workflows.
