Assistant Controller

About the role

The Assistant Controller will work in a hybrid model from Monterrey, supporting the Controller in overseeing the company’s accounting operations. This full‑time position is within a fast‑growing SaaS organization that values accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, month‑end and quarter‑end close processes and prepare internal financial statements.
• Perform consolidations, account reconciliations, variance analysis and maintain internal controls in line with US GAAP/IFRS.
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit work‑papers and PBCs.
• Assist in implementing and optimizing financial systems and automation tools (e.g., QBO multi‑entity, Power BI, n8n).
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations and Revenue teams on revenue recognition, subscription billing and deferred revenue tracking.
• Handle core functions such as global payroll platforms (JustWorks, Remote.com, Deel, CONTPAQi), treasury activities (bank recs, FX, intercompany wires) and multinational compliance (Swiss AHV/BVG, Mexico SAT/CFDI).

Required profile

• Strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, with experience in GL management and month‑end close.
• Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and internal control frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies and propose process improvements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under multiple deadlines.

• Treasury tools: bank reconciliations, foreign‑exchange (USD/MXN/CHF), Ramp credit‑card management.
