Assistant Controller – Plant Finance

About the role

Metalsa is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Plant Finance function. You will ensure reliable, timely financial information, drive budgeting and forecasting, and help identify business risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting processes (P&L, Balance Sheet, Free Cash Flow).
• Prepare and coordinate the annual budget, collaborating with multiple plant areas.
• Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Forecast vs Budget vs Prior Year) and explain results to stakeholders.
• Support and control month‑end closing activities, including accruals and journal entries.
• Track and control CAPEX, tooling and investment projects.
• Monitor expense control systems to ensure alignment with financial plans.
• Provide financial insights for decision‑making and conduct ad‑hoc analyses.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial planning, controlling, forecasting and budgeting.
• Strong experience with month‑end closing and CAPEX/tooling control.
• Analytical, proactive and resilient mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP or Power BI (desirable).
