Business Unit Manager – Medical & Surgical

About the role

Lead Stryker's MedSurg business in Mexico, driving revenue growth, portfolio expansion, and execution of the commercial strategy across multiple product lines. This high‑visibility leadership position influences business performance, customer relationships, and team development nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and maintain electrical systems and apparatus for the Instruments Division products.
• Manage and develop a sales leadership structure composed of Sales Managers and field sales teams, ensuring achievement of financial and operational targets.
• Coach and develop sales leaders through structured performance management, field engagement, and talent development initiatives.
• Partner closely with Marketing teams to define and execute strategic initiatives that strengthen product adoption, market positioning, and customer engagement.
• Drive both direct and indirect sales channel performance, aligning with commercial objectives and diverse customer needs.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for the commercial organization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, hospital stakeholders, procurement teams, and clinical decision‑makers.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and business performance metrics to support strategic decision‑making, demand planning, and forecasting.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in medical device sales or healthcare commercial leadership.
• At least 5 years leading sales teams through managers or supervisors.
• Experience managing complex portfolios and both direct and indirect sales channels.
• Preferred experience in Medical & Surgical devices and collaboration with Marketing on commercial strategy.
• MBA or advanced business degree is a plus.
