About the role

ABB is looking for a Buyer to join its Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi. You will be responsible for acquiring materials that meet technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms while supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate purchase orders in SAP according to requisitions and corporate procedures.
• Confirm deliveries with suppliers, monitor performance, and track compliance with PO requirements.
• Analyze and evaluate bids to select the best value for the company.
• Maintain accurate SAP records and ensure timely invoice processing.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with the category team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
