Construction Estimator – Remote (US Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join a fast‑growing U.S. general contractor. The role is fully remote, focused on preparing cost estimates for government, federal and commercial projects, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate the estimating workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for U.S. government, federal, commercial and public‑sector construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents to identify project requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using industry‑standard estimating software and AI‑assisted workflows.
• Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to speed up data extraction, analysis and bid preparation.
• Generate material takeoffs, obtain pricing from vendors, and validate subcontractor quotes.
• Research labor rates using industry cost databases and compile organized Excel spreadsheets with takeoffs, pricing and cost breakdowns.
• Maintain estimate accuracy within project targets and continuously improve workflows through automation.

Required profile

• 3–8+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably on U.S. projects.
• Experience with commercial, public‑sector or government construction bids.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and bid packages.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
