Construction Supervisor – Mechanical Works (Mexicali)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead mechanical works for a gas compression network (GCN) project in Mexicali, Mexico. The role involves overseeing the full construction lifecycle, ensuring compliance with engineering documents, contractual obligations and Mexican regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and supervise the development of operating philosophy and procurement stages to align with detailed engineering documentation.
• Support technical documentation for permits and studies, and participate in factory and site inspections, FAT and SAT tests.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑shipment inspections, verify quality, quantity and packaging of goods, and ensure proper documentation.
• Supervise and inspect contractor works, prepare progress reports, and develop inspection and maintenance programs in line with national and international standards.
• Assist in acceptance and performance testing, commissioning, warranty management and review contractor certifications for payment recommendations.
• Identify non‑conformities, issue remedial actions, and review REDLINE and AS‑BUILT documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IMS and SASISOPA project requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in industrial, maintenance, metallurgical, chemical, mechanical, materials or related field.
• More than 10 years of professional experience in static equipment integrity, reliability and construction supervision.
• Proven ability to lead field personnel and manage quality control processes.

Required skills

• ASNT, NACE, AMPP or API certification (preferred).
• MS Project proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of static equipment integrity and reliability.
