Controls Engineer

About the role

As a Controls Engineer you will support manufacturing operations by designing, programming and maintaining automation and electrical control systems. You will work on equipment performance improvement, assist production and maintenance teams, and lead controls activities for capital and continuous-improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors and overall electrical control systems.
• Lead and support controls-related tasks for process improvement, cost-reduction and capital projects.
• Troubleshoot recurring equipment and process issues, propose and implement long-term solutions.
• Develop and maintain control architectures, electrical documentation and system integration requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix, Siemens S7 or similar).
• HMI design and implementation, ladder-logic programming.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control-system integration, drives, sensors and safety systems.
