Corporate Counsel – AWS Legal

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Legal Department and support the Sales and Marketing teams across Mexico and Latin America. The role focuses on negotiating, drafting, and advising on strategic enterprise and technology licensing agreements while addressing regulatory and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and review enterprise and technology licensing agreements for AWS sales and marketing initiatives.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory, compliance, and data‑privacy issues in the region.
• Support marketing campaigns, regional expansion projects, and related contractual matters.
• Manage legal issues arising from existing commercial relationships.
• Handle pre‑litigation disputes, inquiries, and other AWS legal projects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of post‑bar admission legal experience.
• J.D. or foreign equivalent and membership in a state or foreign bar.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, and able to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Strong analytical and solutions‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Negotiation and agreement drafting expertise.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, and cloud computing services.
• Experience with transactional and technology licensing matters.
• Project‑management ability in a fast‑paced environment.
