Corporate Counsel – Operations Legal (Mexico)

About the role

Join Amazon Mexico's dedicated legal team that supports the entire Operations business, including logistics, transportation, supply chain, fulfillment and last‑mile delivery. As a Corporate Counsel you will own complex legal matters from start to finish, advise senior leaders directly, and provide fast, pragmatic solutions where regulations are unclear.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end legal matters across Amazon Mexico’s operations network.
• Draft, negotiate and manage commercial agreements with third‑party logistics providers, carriers and operational partners.
• Advise senior leaders on Mexican regulatory compliance covering transportation, labor, customs and environmental law.
• Make risk‑calibrated decisions under ambiguity and limited information.
• Handle government and regulator interactions, including unannounced site visits and on‑site support.
• Develop scalable tools such as playbooks, SOPs and self‑service guides for business teams.
• Coordinate with other legal functions and manage outside counsel when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex legal matters in a fast‑moving operations environment.
• Ability to make decisions with limited data and calibrate risk in real time.
• Comfort with on‑site regulator engagements and travel on short notice.
• Deep understanding of logistics, transportation and supply‑chain operations in Mexico.
• Strong communication skills to interact directly with senior leaders and operational teams.
