Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will establish, maintain, monitor and report accurate product costing and inventory data for a global industrial technology company. You will collect manufacturing data, prepare variance analyses, and support both operational and financial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform activities covering materials, production costs, cost of sales, product development and overhead.
• Compare actual costs to estimates, analyze variances and produce periodic margin reports.
• Assist in weekly cycle counts, annual physical inventories and month‑end inventory reconciliations.
• Support quarter and year‑end financial closings and cost roll‑ups.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Act as liaison to internal and external auditors for cost and inventory accounting requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office products.
• Experience using Oracle financial systems.
• Knowledge of Hyperion and HFM reporting tools.
• Understanding of GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley controls.
