Country Manager, Mexico

About the role

Flexport is expanding its presence in new markets and is looking for a Country Manager for Mexico. You will build and lead local teams, drive market presence, oversee end-to-end operations and cultivate partnerships with local partners. You will also establish and embed Flexport's culture and values in daily operations. The role is central to expanding across LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage operations in the country, ensuring efficiency, compliance and alignment with global standards.
• Develop and execute local business strategies aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Foster partnerships with local partners to optimize service offerings and expand the network.
• Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing local team.
• Drive customer success through service quality, issue resolution and long-term client relationships.
• Own and execute the commercial strategy for Flexport Mexico, overseeing the local sales organization to grow with existing customers and acquire new ones.
• Analyze local market trends, customer needs and competition to spot new opportunities.
• Uphold legal, regulatory and ethical standards across the operation.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of growing a freight forwarding business in Mexico and strong relationships with local buyers of freight forwarding services.
• Deep knowledge of the logistics landscape in Mexico, including experience with local partners, airlines, shipping lines and government regulations.
• Ability to develop and run operational strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
