Cybersecurity Vulnerability & Incident Management Specialist

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is seeking a Cybersecurity Vulnerability & Incident Management Specialist to protect its automotive audio and infotainment products. The role works within the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) and collaborates with IT security, product development, OEMs and suppliers to detect, analyse and remediate security issues.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT Security, global vulnerability and incident management, development and maintenance teams to resolve product vulnerabilities and incidents.
• Coordinate communication with third‑parties such as OEMs, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Produce security advisories, bulletins and reports on vulnerabilities and incidents.
• Adopt and adapt tools and processes for threat intelligence, vulnerability analysis and incident response.
• Provide process and technology guidance during incident and vulnerability handling.
• Mentor junior team members and support day‑to‑day PSIRT operations.
• Champion cultural values within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 4‑6 years of technical hands‑on work.
• Ability to work under time‑sensitive conditions with professionalism and integrity.
• Proven ability to influence without authority and foster collaboration.
• Experience in IT, embedded systems, threat intelligence or general cybersecurity.
• Experience with OT/ICS, embedded or product‑focused security contexts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1‑C2).
