Data Engineer ETL

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a focus on ETL processes to join our Mexico City team. The role is hybrid, following Infosys Mexico policy, and involves building and maintaining data pipelines on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL code using AWS Athena for data extraction and transformation.
• Create, edit, and maintain Tableau workbooks for reporting and visualization.
• Build automated ETL solutions and monitor their performance.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of existing jobs.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and query data to answer business questions.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to define metrics and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to capture detailed information.
• At least 1‑2 years of hands‑on ETL development experience.
• Experience with Tableau (1‑2 years) and SQL for data analysis (1‑2 years).
• Practical knowledge of AWS services such as CloudWatch, Lambda, EMR, and Athena.
• Analytical mindset, curiosity about data, and a proactive attitude toward learning.
